To kick off Pride Month, the BALIF Foundation cordially invites you to the David Tsai Scholarship Launch and Recognition event!

The BALIF Foundation awards scholarships to law students and lawyers working in the area of LGBTQ+ equality.  Past Co-Chair and longtime member David Tsai has generously agreed to fund a new scholarship to be awarded by the BALIF Foundation. 

Please join us for a special evening at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP on June 3, 2025 to celebrate the launch of this scholarship and to commemorate David Tsai’s tremendous contributions to the AAPI and LGBTQ+ communities. This event is generously co-sponsored by the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area (AABA), of which David was Past President, and its first LGBTQ+ President. There is no admission fee and the event is open to all. Light appetizers and drinks will be served. 

This celebration will also serve as a fundraiser to support the important work of the BALIF Foundation in advancing the interests of LGBTQ+ professionals and law students. The BALIF Foundation has set a goal of $15,000 to fund this and other scholarships.  At a time in our nation's history when so many of our rights are under attack, we need your support more than ever. We look forward to seeing you there!
