BALIF's LGBTQ+ Anti-Tobacco Discussion

Join us on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 12 pm to 1 pm for an enlightening in-person presentation hosted by BALIF and LGBTQ Minus Tobacco. Lunch will be provided. We'll be diving into the unique legal challenges of tobacco prevention work in the Bay Area and exploring effective strategies to overcome them.

The event will be held at 1 Hallidie Plaza, Suite 808 in San Francisco. Located just upstairs from the Powell BART station.

LGBTQ Minus Tobacco is currently raising awareness of a policy proposal for smoke-free bar patios in San Francisco and Oakland, in recognition of the importance of queer bar spaces to the LGBTQ+ community. Uncover the health hazards posed by secondhand smoke on outdoor patios and explore the benefits of implementing a policy requiring all San Francisco/Oakland bars with patios or semi-enclosed indoor smoking areas to go smoke-free.
