BALIF’s 2011 Resume and Interview Presentation

Save the date and plan to attend BALIF’s 2nd Annual Resume & Interview Panel Presentation. We’ve again culled together a high-wattage panel to give practical advice and tips to students and newer lawyers in this continuing downturn economy – with emphasis on the unique challenges and issues facing the LGBT lawyer and student. The panel includes a recruiting manager from a national firm, a private recruiter, a director of a local law school admissions office and a lawyer with a prominent national non-profit organization. You do not want to miss this. The panelists discuss resume dos and don’ts and go over sample resumes, address the unique differences in job searching strategies, and cover interview tips in all types of jobs. They also take your questions. Our private recruiter panelist also has offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco and will offer advice on the L.A. job market for those looking there. All this and much more. The presentation is from 2 to 4 pm at the LGBT Center on Market St. A reception to talk more with the panelists, and to network (with food, beer and wine) will follow from 4 to 5:30 – on a patio with spectacular views atop the Center.
