Peter C. Catalanotti is a partner in the San Francisco office of Manning & Kass, where he specializes in professional indemnity insurance defense and employment law. His sub-specialty is real estate broker, appraiser, and insurance broker liability. He also represents lawyers in malpractice actions.
Mr. Catalanotti defends licensed California professionals in civil lawsuits and administrative claims. He also gives risk management lectures to real estate brokers and appraisers. Mr. Catalanotti received the distinction of being named as a 2009–2014 Super Lawyer Rising Star by Law & Politics Magazine. This distinction is awarded to no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in a state.
In 2003, he received his JD from Temple University School of Law, where he was the recipient of the Summer Corps grant from Equal Justice Works, and a labor law grant from the Peggy Browning Fund. He was awarded with "Distinguished Class Performance" in the areas of professional responsibility and labor law. In 1999, he received his BA in psychology and political science from Fairfield University.
Mr. Catalanotti is admitted to practice before all courts in California and is a member of the Northern and Central Districts of California Federal Court, and the 9th Circuit Federal Court.
Mr. Catalanotti is a licensed real estate broker and serves as Co-Chair of the Real Estate Sales and Brokerage Subsection of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of California. He is a volunteer for the San Francisco Superior Court. Mr. Catalanotti is available to act as a private discovery referee for civil cases. Mr. Catalanotti is the co-chair of the LGBT Equality Committee of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
In his free time, he teaches Muay Thai kickboxing and rides his motorcycle.
