Laurie_BertolacciLaurie was born in the Bronx, and during the summers as a kid, her sprinklers were fire hydrants.  Her primary goal is to retain existing members and increase membership beyond attorneys to other legal professionals in the Bay Area.

Laurie Bertolacci has been with Robert Half International for 16 years and is a lesbian parent of Jordan, a vivacious 6 year old girl. Some of the values instilled in Jordan are a commitment to the community, standing up for what is right and getting involved to help others. In 2008, when Jordan was 3, Laurie trained for the AIDS Ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles – one of the most rewarding experiences next to being a mother. Jordan named her mother’s bike, ‘Stellaluna’ after her favorite book and told everyone how “her mommy was raising money to help people who were sick”. As a first time rider, Laurie raised over $12,000, out of 3,000 participants was the #27 fundraiser and received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

Laurie Bertolacci is vice president of eDiscovery for Robert Half Legal in the San Francisco Bay Area. She serves as a business partner to law firms and corporate legal departments to provide cost-effective solutions on the strategic use of project teams for small and large scale matters including but not limited to litigation, mergers and acquisitions, managed review, bankruptcy, contracts, software licensing, real estate and leasing. She joined Robert Half in 1996 as a recruiter in the company’s Washington, D.C. office and, since then, has served in numerous management roles, vice president and regional vice president in various geographic locations. She was instrumental in opening Robert Half Legal offices and spearheading project attorney placement for the company on the East Coast. Prior to her current position, Laurie worked as a senior field training manager with the company’s staff development team where she provided consulting and executive training in recruiting, client development and operational best practices across all business lines and leadership levels gloabally. She has received company recognition and multiple awards for her sales and leadership skills.

Laurie is very active in the community and is amember of BASF, APABASV and dot429. She most recently served on a panel on Career Options at the 2012 California Women Lawyers Association annual conference. She was fortunate to serve on the Board for over 2 years and spearheaded a golf charity tournament with a group of women, “We Golf for Charity” which netted over $30,000 for The Center. Laurie’s goal is to expand and retain BALIF membership. Her desire to promote awareness, connect professionals in the legal field beyond lawyers such as paralegals, law clerks, eDiscovery managers, etc., and her passion will contribute to expanding to 1000+ members strong!
