Laurie Bertolacci has been with Robert Half International for 16 years and is a lesbian parent of Jordan, a vivacious 6 year old girl. Some of the values instilled in Jordan are a commitment to the community, standing up for what is right and getting involved to help others. In 2008, when Jordan was 3, Laurie trained for the AIDS Ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles – one of the most rewarding experiences next to being a mother. Jordan named her mother’s bike, ‘Stellaluna’ after her favorite book and told everyone how “her mommy was raising money to help people who were sick”. As a first time rider, Laurie raised over $12,000, out of 3,000 participants was the #27 fundraiser and received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
