BALIF is pleased to welcome The Orange County Lavender Bar Association, a new nonprofit serving gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender attorneys in Orange County . The Lavender Bar Association started with a group of lawyers associated with the Orange County Equality Coalition, which formed to respond to Proposition 8. The organization represents a first for the historically conservative Orange County , which is home to various affinity bar associations but has not had one specifically for LGBT lawyers. A board including partners at Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear, Greenberg Traurig and other firms will lead the new bar association.
