Berkeley Law is hosting a Biotech Patent Pool Workshop on November 6, pulling together scientists, attorneys, and advocates from throughout the HIV research and care community, to consider UNITAID’s Patent Pool Initiative for HIV therapies, and GlaxoSmithKline’s Neglected Disease Patent Pool.  Panelists include colleagues from GlaxoSmithKline, Gilead , the FTC, UC Berkeley, Emory, Drugs for Neglected Disease Institute, Institute for One World Health, Fenwick and West,  Via Licensing, and UNITAID. A complete agenda is available online (http://www.law.berkeley.edu/institutes/bclt/patentpools/about.html).
