On Lu practices in intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on trademark infringement and anti-counterfeiting. He is an associate at Mount & Stoelker, a 30-year old San Jose-based IP boutique. On has a special talent for “rainmaking” and recently opened Mount’s San Francisco office.
On first got involved in BALIF as a 1L at USF. He had just come out of the closet and had never known any LGBT lawyers. Three years later, he was elected as USF’s first openly-gay Student Body President. His class voted him as the “Leader Who Contributed Most to the Character of the Law School ” and selected him to speak at commencement. On also served on the USF Law Review and taught Street Law to inner-city high school students.
Prior to law school, On spent ten years launching hi-tech companies into Europe and Latin America . He has originated business with global leaders such as AOL, Yahoo, Verizon, QVC, Dixons, CompUSA, Costco, Surcouf, Wanadoo, El Corte Ingles, Deutsche Telecom, Telenor, Brasil Telecom, and Telefonica Argentina . On’s experience and track record enable him to bridge clients’ legal needs from a business perspective.
On speaks Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Spanish. He is fan of skydiving, comic books, Hong Kong action movies, dive restaurants, indoor rock climbing, taking the scenic route, and travel to faraway lands.
