The BALIF Mentorship Program is Back!

The BALIF Mentorship Program is Back!

BALIF is kicking off its 2009-2010 mentorship program and needs your help!

Thursday, November 12, at 6:00 p.m. at Zebulon (83 Natoma in SoMa) attend a fun, inventive, and free mixer to help LGBT legal professionals succeed.  It’s “Speed-Mentoring!”

Introduce LGBT law students, newer attorneys, or lawyers looking to transition to a new area of law to the legal profession and your career path (or come to find your own mentor).  Speed mentoring is a little like “speed dating,” but with less pressure and better personalities!  You’ll spend a few minutes chatting with several different mentees/mentors (depending on whether you want to be, or are looking for, a mentor) before heading to the next table and chatting with some new folks.  There’s no commitment beyond the event and you’ll get a list of all the attendees and their email addresses after the event so you can follow up at your leisure if you make a mentoring connection.  Free appetizers and drinks will be provided.

All are welcome — LGBT or ally, legal professional or student, mentor/mentee or just plain good-time-haver.

If you can attend email erin.smart@bingham.com with your name, whether you want to participate as a mentor, a mentee, or both, and your area of legal practice/interest.

Thanks for your support!
